Mean Irene Frightens Kiln; Kiln Roars Back

"Everybody, get inside! There's a hurricane coming! There's a hurricane coming!"  Kiln squeezed into the house. He was terrified of hurricanes, and Irene was coming! There was lots of rain and power losses on Kiln's street, but that was almost nothing compared to the disastrous mess that the people a few blocks back from his house returned to after having evacuated. The water seeped into their homes and ruined all their furniture.  Kiln felt bad, so he brought around water bottles, and others volunteered to help people whose furniture was ruined.  The sight was devastating.

Many people started donating to the town's Recreation Center and Kiln was stunned by all the donations.  "Everyone should help out," he thought.
